New Watering Restrictions

I'm sure you remembered to turn your clocks back on November 6th one hour, as Daylight Savings Time is over...Spring Forward, Fall Behind...

But...did you know that means we can now only water ONCE A WEEK now? Outdoor irrigation is limited to 1 day per week during Eastern Standard Time (from the first Sunday in November until the second Sunday in March) and 2 days per week during Daylight Saving Time (from the second Sunday in March until the first Sunday in November). No watering is allowed between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

FIRST TIME violators will receive a warning through a door hanger notice and by certified letter.

REPEAT violators will be subject to a fine of $25 per violation!

Our watering days are as follows:

Time of Year Odd-Numbered Homes Even-Numbered Homes Non-Residential Properties
Daylight Savings Time Wednesday / Saturday Thursday  / Sunday Tuesday / Friday
Eastern Standard Time Saturday Sunday Tuesday

For more information, see the Orange County Utilities Watering Restrictions web page.

Having a Street Light Problem?

Do you have a street light near your home that is not working properly? It's always off? Or always on? That's simple to fix! Just use Progress Energy's Request Streetlight Repair web page to report the problem. Progress Energy will sent a maintenance crew within three business days to check the street light and make necessary repairs.

You should make a note of the six digit number for the light; it will be on a silver label on the pole.

So the next time you notice a street light not working, the solution is simply a click away!

Also, please try to remember to trim your trees or bushes around the street light so that they are visible and can provide proper lighting!
